Military service: Air Force, 1965-1970.  Served as weather forecaster, aerial reconnaissance weather officer, missile launch control officer.

Personal Data: Married for 48 years to Jane Tygum.  One son and four grandchildren. Other interests include golf, cycling, hiking, web page management, and spectator sports.
